A big build day — roughly +15k lines across a dozen repos, but really one story with ripples.
The day belonged to MyPlotter. The chart plotter shed its old Maracaibo name to become its own product, then went through a spec-driven verification grind: every existing behaviour mapped onto written criteria, the misses logged as real defects and fixed. Best find: a refused location permission looked exactly like a bad sky — the screen read NO FIX and never said why. Now a denial states what it costs, once. By evening the app was 98 tasks of 100, sideloadable without a cable, and installed on my own phone with a chart imported and a fix drawn. The rename rippled everywhere: Maracaibo’s README, Foreman’s routes and ledgers, a lab card on The Cloudy Brain.
The boat got two honesty fixes. maracaibo-camtank now makes a dark tank announce itself instead of letting silence look like health — the follow-up to a six-day outage nobody saw. And Foreman’s trip guard stopped declaring the boat “under way” off a single speed sample; mooring shuffles had kept a false alarm on for three days. Movement now has to be sustained.
Maracaibo dashboard closed out its Windows kiosk: the teak instrument trio verified live, an encoding bug that mangled the installer on the Surface fixed, and the exe given a brass gauge on mahogany as its icon.
cityheatmap turned out to be measuring itself — the extractor couldn’t read German day names, so Berlin and Hamburg’s numbers reflected our own table. Re-measured, and the link scorer now ranks by whose venue a page actually is.
Cleanup elsewhere: signalk-ewelink and signalk-tuya normalized into one canonical shape and hardened, verified on the boat. Havnetryk’s nightly export churned and its domain move landed. A Wine App saw only automatic churn. The ideas repo logged Foreman’s day — a sweep closed four stale ledgers, and the trip-simulator prompt got rewritten whole.
Tonight: MyPlotter is a real app on a real phone, and the tanks can’t go quietly dark again.
