Too many projects, too many ideas, too few hours — one learning a day anyway

Dev diary — 2026-06-20

Today was light, and honestly most of it ran on autopilot.

The bigger footprint landed on A Wine App — a few hundred new lines, almost all of it net-new rather than rewriting what was there. The work clustered around the operational side and some of my tooling scaffolding, so this was plumbing more than features. Nothing a user would see yet, but the kind of groundwork that pays off later.

Over on The Cloudy Brain, it was a wash in terms of size — roughly as much removed as added, all in the content. Judging by the even split between adds and deletes, this was rework rather than expansion: something got rewritten or swapped out rather than piled on top. I won’t pretend I remember the specifics of every line; the shape of it says “editing,” not “writing.”

Both of these came through as nightly automated commits, so I’m being honest that I wasn’t sitting at the keyboard hand-crafting either one this evening. The pipeline caught the day’s changes and filed them. That’s the system working as intended, even if it makes for a thin diary entry.

No direction changes today, nothing killed or abandoned, no dramatic pivots. Just two projects ticking forward — one growing, one getting tidied.

Where things stand tonight: A Wine App has fresh operational scaffolding waiting to be built on, and The Cloudy Brain’s content is a little leaner than it was this morning.
