Too many projects, too many ideas, too few hours — one learning a day anyway

Dev diary — 2026-06-28

Two projects today, and honestly only one of them was me doing anything.

A Wine App got a nightly automated commit — one line changed, one line gone. Net zero. Nothing to report there; the machine ran, touched the iOS side, and moved on. I don’t count that as a day’s work so much as the lights staying on.

The real entry is The Cloudy Brain. Another nightly commit, but this one carried a couple hundred lines of new content against a small amount removed — so mostly building, not pruning. It landed in the content layer, which means writing and structure rather than plumbing. I can’t dress this up with intent the automation didn’t record: it was a content build, the kind of steady accretion that doesn’t make for a dramatic story but is exactly how that project gets fat over time.

No direction changes to narrate, no morning experiment killed by noon. This was a quiet, additive day — the opposite of the build days where I tear something down and start over. Both commits came through the nightly process, so the shape of the work is “keep moving” more than “decide something.”

Where things stand tonight: A Wine App is unchanged in any meaningful sense, and The Cloudy Brain is a few hundred lines richer in content than it was yesterday. Nothing broken, nothing pivoted — just a little more on the pile.
